Being connected

I spend a lot of time on Facebook, I admit it. I like connecting with my friends and family there. I like seeing the inspirational messages I find, and I follow many of my favorite designers, watching for their newest creations, so I don’t have to go searching around too much, or miss something. I LOVE what popped up yesterday, from The Digital Press! A great introductory price, and now I have the perfect kit for some of the screen grabs I might want to include on a layout!

What about the great spring look of this kit, Time for a Change? I love the collabs Amanda does, and this is no exception – its feeling like spring time!

I’ve been scrapping with Amanda’s kit, Enjoy Today. This is just one link from her CT, but look through to find all the pieces, SO much fun!

Sometimes you just have to stay HAPPY

Life isn’t always sunshine and roses. The good thing is that often times the difficult pieces and the shiny pretty parts can happen so close together.

I have had one of “those weeks.”

Instead of letting the yucko part keep me down, I chose to focus much more on the positive part.

 

I’ve been seeing these wonderful typography pages, and used that to inspire my layout.

Sometimes just finding a cool font inspires me to create, as with these famous fonts you might recognize. Grabbing more fonts always brings a little sunshine to my day!

 

And how perfect is this?!?! Pursue your Happiness Color challenge on The Digital Press!  I think that might just be the ticket to a bit of mojo I need right now.

 

Whether your winter is just stretching on too long, or maybe something not so great has you down right now, find a bit of happiness wherever you can.

Stretching your stash

Is it Monday again already? I need more time. Just like I need more digi supplies right? Well, actually, I know I really don’t NEED more digi supplies.  90GB of templates and 572GB of digikits should honesty last me forever and ever. But hey, designers keep coming out with cool new stuff! Still, there are lots of ways we might not have thought about to maximize our goodies.

Even when I KNOW I have plenty of ‘stuff’ there seem to be times when I wish there were just, something, to make that page really pop. It turns out if I think about what I DO have in a bigger way, I already have everything I need! Check these out:

Snickerdoodles wrote a great article on using premade borders in 6 different ways. SIX! Some of these hadn’t even occurred to me, and now I have more ways to play!

 

And then there are multiple ways to add titles, including this FANTASTIC and incredible one by Karen Grunberg, in this article,
