I submit that when we create things, we are.
Those ‘things’ might be created with paper, or with other media. It might be music or ideas or a fantastic themed party. Maybe you style hair or do fun things with your nails. All art. Regardless, those of us who scrap are certainly artists!
When we are making layouts and celebrating our photos and are in the groove all is well. Scrapping can be therapy. I know it is my happy place.
What happens when we lose our mojo? Everyone can hit a wall, get writer’s block, lose the music, get burned out, or in a rut. What matters is how we move past that.
So, what do we do next?
I love this article 15 THINGS YOU SHOULD GIVE UP TO BE HAPPY: ART VERSION by Julie Fei-Fan Balzer. Whether you consider yourself an artist or not, she has great advice for how to let go of some of the things that keep you fettered, and slow you down. Your work is AWESOME, and you ARE an artist!
You don’t even have to be ‘crafty’ to make cool things! Check out Wordle – you can input a bunch of words and get a unique word cloud to use in any way you’d like!
Here is a quick one I just put together for our trip.
Have a fun day, and make time to do whatever it is you love to do!
