We went camping this weekend. In a tent. With the jumbo sized dog. In Alabama. You might think September in the south is beginning to feel like fall. Not so much.
It’s hot. And muggy. And putting up a tent and a screen room wore us OUT!
But, we did it together. We worked to stay relaxed, and to find the moments that made us happy. We might not use the tent again, but we made wonderful memories (and I took a TON of photos for layouts!).
That is what ‘happy’ looks like for my hubby and I. We’ve been married nearly 32 years now, and we consciously and deliberately find our happy. We try to forget about any of the ‘less than happy’ while we plan the next thing.
I really like this – 10 Things Happy People Do Differently, it well describes my philosophy.
Even when things aren’t going well, I try to remember
I don’t yet have the camping photos scrapped (I know, what is up with THAT?!!? you say!) but I will soon. Watch for them on my fb wall – LBscraps. Or my ScrapStacks. For now, I’m relishing the happy memories we made this weekend.
Oh ~ and we plan to look at campers soon!
